Michael Bätz studied business administration in Leipzig, Würzburg, and Prague and is a certified public accountant. He is the central EY contact person in the Thuringia, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt region and has more than 20 years of professional experience in banking/finance, auditing, and consulting, with a particular focus on capital market-oriented and technology-oriented companies.

As a member of the EY Start-up Initiative and mentor, he is also particularly committed to the local start-up scene. Michael Bätz is a jury member in various start-up competitions and has supported the Public Value Awards for Start-ups since its inception.

In addition, Michael Bätz has been involved in various impact partnerships for years, promoting equal opportunities for children and young people.
