Public Value is about the overall benefit a startup provides to society and thus contributes to the common good. Evaluate for yourself: What values, needs, and attitudes does the startup address? How does it advance society?

Research has shown that five categories are crucial in this regard (read more here). These questions can help you evaluate:

• Does the startup solve a relevant problem?

• Does the startup promote moral and ethical values?

• Does the startup strengthen togetherness and relationships between groups?

• Does the start-up enable positive experiences?

• Does the start-up achieve a favorable cost-benefit ratio?

All finalists present themselves in a short video. In it, they highlight their public value in the five categories. Watch all the videos carefully and then rate them. To learn more about what the startups do, you can check out their websites.

For a fairer competition we have built in a registration barrier. This way, abuse by bots can be curbed.
